Registering to VOTE:

Voter registration forms may be downloaded from the Secretary of State’s website (www.sos.alabama.gov) or picked up from the City Clerk’s office at 402 Lee Street NE, Decatur, AL 35601.

You can also register to vote online at the Secretary of State’s Website.

If you are unsure of your voter information, contact the Board of Registrars for Morgan County.

Absentee Application Information:

Download an application from the City Clerk’s website by clicking on Absentee Application

COMPLETE, AND MAIL OR RETURN YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT:

Once the absentee application is completed, mail the application (only 1 application per envelope) to the following address:

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Ballot must be post marked by the United States Postal Service (USPA) and no later than the day before the Election Day.

August 08, 2016     Last day to register to vote or change voter information

August 18, 2016     Last day for a voter to apply for a regular absentee ballot

August 19, 2016     First day to apply for an emergency absentee ballot

                               Last day to apply for an emergency absentee ballot

August 22, 2016     If an absentee ballot is returned by mail, it must be

                               postmarked by August 22, 2016 and received by noon

                               on the day of election.
